Have you ever wondered… How do trees and plants appear in the middle of a forest? Who carries their seeds from place to place? And what hidden stories are tucked inside those tiny treasures scattered across the forest floor? Join us for a fun and interactive morning of discovery as we uncover the mysteries of seed travel!
Designed for homeschool students ages 6-10!
Come explore, imagine, investigate, and discover the amazing journeys hidden inside nature’s smallest travelers.
In the first hour, students will explore Cracker Country’s gardens and historic buildings on a guided tour. Then, they’ll dig into the hidden world of seeds, discovering their secrets through hands-on activities and interactive learning.
During our adventure we will:
- Reenact the surprising ways seeds are spread
- Collect and sketch a variety of seeds
- Guess what kind of trees or plants they may become
- Plant our seeds to take home and nurture
- Watch them grow into… what? Only time will tell!

Cost $18 per student; Ages 6-10 Classes are for students only, 1 Guardian (18+) is free and required to remain on property. Please note that this workshop is the only program being offered on this date, and the museum will not be open for general exploration. Advanced ticket purchase online required. Limited tickets are available. All ticket sales are final.
